Rhinestones Bracelet. (DIY Tutorial)

I like simple bracelets with a great effect. A mix of rhinestones and string looks both stylish and simple. That's why I decided to create something that combines the glam of diamonds and the trashy look of the strings. This is a great Summer project. So lets see what you should do to create your own.

What you'll need:

- waxed string
- 5 cm (about 2 in) rhinestones chain
- glue (I prefer E600)

1. Firstly, take your waxed string and cut two pieces measuring 32 cm (12.6 in) each and one measuring about 25 cm (9.8 in).

2. Take on of the longer strings and fold into half. At one end you should have a loop. Slip the end of the rhinestones chain through the loop.

3. Make a tight knot around the last rhinestone.

4. Do the same thing at the other end.

5. Take the strings and form a circle at the back. Secure the circle with two knots. Try to make the knots at equal distance. Anyway these will be just temporary knots.

6. Take the shortest cord and centre it under the space in betwen the knots.

7. Lets start making some square knots. Firstly, take the left string and cross it over the middle strings. The right cord should go over the left one. Then, pass it under the right and the middle one. Finally, take it out over the left cord. Pull tightly.

8. Now, take the right cord and pass it over the middle one. Put the left cord over the right one. After that, pass it under the right cord and under the middle ones. Then slip it  out over the left cord. Then just pull tightly.

9. Keep doing that until you get about 1.5 cm (06. in) of square knots. You should get something like this:

10. After that, make a knot beyond the braiding.

11. Secure it with some glue and let it dry about 15 minutes.

12. Then cut the excess of string.

13. Untie the tenporary knots.

14. Make some pretty little knots on the free strings. These won't let your bracelet fall apart.

15. Again, cut the excess of cord.

And here is your brand new bracelet. If you are wondering where I get my colored rhinestones from, well I used some nail polish to make them so.

What are you waiting for? Go get your supplies and create your own!

Have a nice evening!
